Some companies nickle and dime customers with stuff like charging how many pieces of mail you can receive after a small included limit, or how many pages are included in free scans. For example a company might offer 30 free pages of scanning- if your Amex bill is 10 pages with 2 sides, you will exhaust 20 pages right there. With another service, for example ours, you can simply ask that only pages that have actual charges be scanned, which might only be 4 pages! You will pay for those 4 pages only.
Be an informed customer and ask lots of questions. The chart above helps decipher some of these costs.
Often times, this is simply disingenuous marketing. A company might offer that low price at only one location but advertises it for all with a “starting at” to get your attention. Usually we find these plans will include a ton of additional costs like steep storage fees, pick up fees, check deposit fees etc. so in the end you will end up paying more than a straight forward plan, even with a higher monthly membership fee.
Ask lots of questions and go deep into what else will they charge before you sign up!
Some companies like Post Scan Mail offer addresses that sometimes can be PO Boxes. A PO Box cannot be used to receive packages or register a business and often times banks will not accept it as a valid address either.
